cubing methods (list)
LBL aka layer by layer or the beginner method: the method taught in the booklet given to you when you buy a cube
solve the cube 1 layer at a time
many videos about this on www.youtube.com
Fridrich Method: method created by Jessica Fridrich, common speedcubing method, CFOP system, solves the Cross, then all of F2L, then OLL, PLL
uses what are referred to as c/e pairs (corner/edge pairs) build a pair and insert it in a slot created by the cross
many sources on the internet just search
ZB: includes ZBF2L(ZB first 2 layers) and ZBLL(ZB last layer). do F2L without one c/e pair
then, using ZBF2L, solve the last pair and and orient ll edges. Then the rest is solved with ZBLL

Petrus Method: based around intuitive block building
solve a 2x2x2 block
expand that to a 2x2x3
orient bad edges
complete F2L
solve corners with COLL
permute any remaining edges if needed.
Petrus Method: http://lar5.com/cube/
Roux Method: block building
1x2x3 block on the left hand side, then an identical block on the right side
permute and orient all remaining Last Layer corners using CMLL
from now on only M and U turns are made
orient all remaining "bad edges"
solve the two edges simultaneously which belong above the 1x2x3 blocks
permut the final 4 edges
Roux Method: http://grrroux.free.fr/method/Intro.html
Waterman Method: corners first method
Solve a face on L, do the corners on R and then solve the edges
http://www.rubikscube.info
Heise method: Fully intuitive method
F2L without one c/e-pair
orient remaining edges
create 2 c/e-pairs and solve the remaining edges
the last 3 corners are solved using a commutator.
http://www.ryanheise.com/cube/method.html
VH method: step down from the ZB method, usually used in transition to it
F2L without one c/e-pair
then the last pair is paired up, but not inserted
insert the last pair and orient all ll edges
COLL, then PLL
http://www.cubestation.co.uk/cs2/
ZZ method: DF and DB edges are solved and all 12 edges are oriented
then F2L without one c/e-pair is solved using RUL
insert the last pair and solve ll edges
ZZLL
http://www.speedcubing.com.pl/nooks_zz.htm
MGLS: another last slot method
solve F2L-1 slot
last slot edge is placed and the LL edges oriented (ELS)
last slot corner is placed and the LL corners are oriented in one algorithm (CLS)
http://cube.garron.us/MGLS/
there are more methods, but these are the main ones used for speedcubing

Re: cubing methods (list)
BLD methods?
how bout people just post descriptions of other methods, instead of me having to do it all?
